FAQ

Have a question? See below for some frequently asked questions and information that will help you.

Do you have to be Presbyterian to come to worship?

Nope. Jesus welcomed everyone who wanted to hear His message, and so do we.

What is expected of me when I visit St. Philip? Am I going to be asked to give money or join a committee?

We expect you to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the weekday world, and enjoy a message of love, forgiveness, and acceptance among of group of people who are doing the same thing. We do take an offering during worship, but it doesn't involve any individual solicitation. If you find something about St. Philip's ministry that interests you, we would love to tell you more about it, but we'll wait for you to discover what that is.

When are your worship services?

We worship every Sunday at 10:30 am in our Sanctuary. Throughout the year we provide special worship services for the community of faith. For more information on each of our services please email the church office at admin@stphil.org

Do I have to dress up?

Only if you want to. Some members dress up, others go casual. It depends on your personal style and the way you want to glorify God.

Can I take communion?

We invite all who trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior to participate in communion. We leave it up to the conscience of the individual as to whether one should partake of the communion elements. Children are encouraged to partake in communion once they understand its importance and meaning.

What activities do you have for children?

We want children to have a fun, safe, meaningful experience in Sunday school and worship. We have Sunday School classes for children and activities for children during worship.

What are the arrangements for infants?

St. Philip has a nursery on the upper level of Fellowship Hall, steps away from the Sanctuary. Parents should stay on the church campus while they have children checked into the nursery.

What do adults get to do while their children are in Sunday School?

We have several adult classes taking place during the Sunday School hour. If you would rather enjoy fellowship time with others, the Fellowship Hall has sitting areas available.

What if I have questions after Sunday School and worship?

There is a Welcome Center (near the entrance to the Sanctuary) where someone will be available to answer any questions. The pastor greets members as they exit the Sanctuary after worship. Outside of Sunday morning, you may reach our staff by calling the church (817) 282-9181 or emailing the staff. Please use the email form at the bottom of this page.  â€‹
