For Members

PNC Update for Members:

All information about the pastor candidate for St. Philip must be confidential until after our church votes to accept them. This is a personnel matter. Our person is in an active call at another church. That church cannot be informed of our call until we have voted on them. That would put our candidate in a bad position with their current church. Presbytery and COM procedure is that due to this sensitive information, it should not be shared until the Congregational meeting. Your PNC is following Presbytery Personnel Policy. We have 4 pages for you on Sunday, and we are in no rush to vote. Everyone can read the info, ask questions and hopefully we can answer them to your satisfaction.

Members of the congregation can help the call committee do its work by:

• Praying for the committee members daily.

• Letting the committee members know of your support and perspectives without pressuring them for confidential information.

• Listening carefully with your heart when the call committee presents a thorough report and recommendation at the appropriate time.

The PNC committee thanks you for your patience and prayers.

A Prayer for the PNC:

Ever-Living, Ever-Present God, may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, beginning with us, here and now.  Please give the PNC faithful and willing hearts, clear minds and love, to listen to one another and to you.  Please remember their limitations; keep them humble; deliver them from making decisions that seem attractive and easy but are not your will.  Give us all a spirit of cooperation and community to do our part and bless St. Philip, that we may be your faithful, dedicated people, for your glory, Amen.
